Welcome
The 1 Hour Prayer Challenge App Resources Page
Welcome to the 1 Hour Prayer Challenge App, the prayer challenge app designed to disciple and discipline you into a lifestyle of spending your first hour of the day in prayer with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Before you start the challenge, if you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you can pray the Salvation Prayer and get saved right now!
Salvation Prayer: God, I need you. I openly confess and declare with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that you God raised Jesus from the dead.
When you pray that prayer, according to Romans 10:9, you are saved and now have eternal life with Jesus Christ!! Hallelujah! Get connected to a bible-based church in your local area so you can learn what it means to follow Jesus, and also so you can become discipled.
Now that you are a believer in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit has come to live on the inside of you! Now it’s time to pray in the Spirit (or your heavenly language).
Prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit and Speak in Tongues:
THIS IS FOR EVERY BELIEVER TO HAVE FREELY, just like SALVATION!
Lord, I believe I am your child. I have Your spirit living in me and now I want you to fill me to overflow with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. I receive it, just like I received my salvation. Thank you LORD, for filling me! In Jesus’ Name, Amen
Now that you have received, you will want to GROW in your new gift and use it daily!

Scriptural Resources
The following Holy Bible scriptures will help you understand more about the priority and power of prayer.
Quality vs Quantity: Matthew 26:36-45 (Amplified Bible)
“So you men could not stay awake and keep watch with Me for one hour?”
Jesus Made Prayer a Priority: Luke 6:12 (KJV)
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
Jesus’ Example: Mark 1:35 (Amplified)
Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left [the house], and went out to a secluded place, and was praying there.
Early Morning Prayer: Psalm 5:3 (AMPC):
In the morning You hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I prepare [a prayer, a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [ for You to speak to my heart].
Total Transformation: John 16:13-15 (AMPC):
13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].14 He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take from (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.
15 Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (KJV)
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
The Why - Romans 8:26-27 (KJV)
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Prayer Challenge Tips:
- Get up out of the bed!!!! That means your feet MUST hit the floor.
- Find a specific spot to pray (i.e. closet, empty bedroom, bathroom, shower, etc.). Grab the 1 Hour Prayer Challenge Box Kit for your prayer closet in a box essentials.
- Stay encouraged. Don't let a mess-up throw you off. Just get up the next day and pray.
- Set a curfew on your phone. Go to bed at a reasonable time.
- Put alarm clock on the other side of the room. (I use my Amazon Alexa Echo Dot and have it wake me up to praise and worship music playing).
- Drink some water when you get up heading to the prayer spot.
- Remind yourself WHY you're doing this (To build spiritual intimacy with God).
- Prepare for obstacles. Combat the enemy with the Word of God.
- Don't focus on looking a certain way. Wake up, potty, wash hands, drink water and get to it!
- Don't let anything distract you from praying. NOTHING!
- Remember that someone is in need of your prayers in the Spirit. Don't let them down by laying down.
