Being Wise vs Being Stupid
MY CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD
Welcome to the OABG Daily Blog and Podcast!
We desperately need God’s wisdom. I desperately need God’s wisdom. I have done some foolish things in my life and I am at a point now where I just don’t want to take that foolish route anymore. This morning I woke up with quite a few thoughts on my mind and of course I immediately started talking to God. I acknowledged Him as my Lord and Savior, revered Him as The Holy One, confessed my sins, thanked Him, and then just started talking to Him.
I often times find myself getting weary in the wait and I know that they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. What I realize in these moments is that maybe I am not as strong as I think, but I am definitely stronger than I used to be. LOL! I laid there just talking to God. I smiled. I shedded a few tears. I cuddled up. Talked some more and knew that I was in a safe space right there in His presence.
I want to encourage you today. If you ever get anxious while waiting on the promise, just talk to God. What will definitely change is the peace in your heart.
Now before I get all teary-eyed again because I am in that kind of snuggly cuddle mood this morning, let’s jump into our Scriptural Bible Study of Proverbs Chapter 9 where we learn about wisdom versus foolishness. I can remember times where I would wake up and my mind would immediately think of something foolish to do. I thank God that I have been delivered from that life and that I continue to pursue wisdom daily.
In this chapter, we see a contrast drawn between Lady Wisdom and Madame Whore! See, I keep telling y’all that the Message Translation ain’t playing around because many of us need the raw version of the Bible to apply it to our previously raw-lived lives!! Okay!
Here’s what I learned from Proverbs 9:
Give up foolishness if you want to live.
Let understanding guide your steps.
If you’re going to become wise, you have to get to know God through His Word and take Him seriously!!! (this right here alone is lesson enough for us today, right)
Wisdom is the ability to understand the divine perspective and apply it to life.
Wisdom comes from God.
Wisdom keeps you from dying an untimely death through foolishness.
Don’t try to correct folks who don’t take responsibility for their errors because they will only hate you for it.
Instead, correct a wise man, one who learns form his error, and he will love you.
If you have good sense, instruction will help you to have better sense.
If you live right, education will help you know even more.
Don’t listen to stupid or foolish people who try to steer you to do things in secret that aren’t right.
I mean what more can be said after that y’all? If wisdom comes from God, then foolishness comes from Satan. Bottomline: Respect and obey the Lord. Read His Word for Wisdom and don’t be stupid or listen to stupid people who aren’t wise. Remember wisdom comes from God. If you ain’t from God, then you from the enemy! And like I said earlier…I have been delivered from foolish!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. And let me be the first to welcome you to your new life with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. YAAAAY!!!!! You made the best decision you could ever make! Feel free to email me at info@onassignmentbyGod.com and let me know about your newfound life or if you need prayer for anything.

When YAH instructed me to "learn how to grow my own food," I thought He was teaching me how to grow vegetables.
I couldn't have imagined He was actually teaching me how to trust Him.
What began with five little Bonnie Plants, a few grow bags, and a backyard full of questions became one of the greatest classrooms of my life. Every tomato, every cucumber, every storm, every season of waiting, and every tiny harvest became another lesson in faith.
Plant Every Seed is more than a gardening story. It's an invitation to discover how YAH uses ordinary moments to teach extraordinary lessons. Through honest stories, biblical reflection, and practical encouragement, you'll learn how to faithfully tend the seeds He has placed in your own life while trusting Him with the harvest.
Whether you're walking through a season of waiting, learning to trust YAH more deeply, or simply longing to recognize His voice in your everyday life, this book was written with you in mind.
