Bringing Heaven Down to Earth
Distractions are always trying to distract aren’t they?
This morning as I was praying, I was thinking about all kinds of stuff. So I prayed, Lord remove any distractions and help me to focus on you.
I discerned the voice of God replying to me saying: Don’t be so concerned with the natural and what you CAN see, focus on the spiritual and what you CANNOT see. This requires spiritual focus…uninterrupted. Remember what you CAN see has already happened in the spiritual realm.
I thought about the scripture where Jesus was teaching the disciples to pray. He said “on earth as it is in heaven”. That’s actually Matthew 6:10.
Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. — Matthew 6:10 CSB
Come and set up your Kingdom, so that everyone on earth will obey you as you are obeyed in heaven. — Matthew 6:19 CEV
Holy Spirit said you’re being proactive with prayer in the spiritual realm, and only reactive in the natural/earthly realm. You’re on offense in the spiritual realm.
When Jesus was teaching the disciples to pray (and also teaching us to pray), He told us to pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. He also told us that the gates of hell will not prevail against the work that God has purposed for us to accomplish as His will is being worked out in our lives.
And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will have been loosed in heaven. — Matthew 16:18-19 CSB
Another scripture that I found which talks about the spiritual realm is Ephesians 6:12:
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. — Ephesians 6:12
See we can’t be acting like the spiritual real don’t exist or ain’t real. IT IS INDEED VERY REAL. If we believe in Jesus Christ, then we believe that He died to conquer the works of the devil to set us free. There are forces both angelic and demonic that are actively working around us!
Holy Spirit was letting us know this morning that our focus has to be on the spiritual realm and not on the things we CAN see!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
