Encouragement In the Valley

Blessings in the lessons.

That’s the first thing I heard this morning in my conversation with Holy Spirit. Blessings in the lessons.

I have been learning a lot of lessons over the last few weeks and I got to be totally honest, it’s been really hard. Yesterday I was down and seemingly lost in some investments. I say seemingly lost because Holy Spirit already told me that I never lose with Him. But yall, it felt like a real loss. And I cried too. Yeah, me, the tough woman of God who prays every single day and hears from the Lord. I cried. I’m talking about a hard cry too. I wanted God to fix it MY WAY and that just didn’t happen. Things didn’t turn around when I wanted them to turn around. You ever been there? You’re like, but God you said ask and I am asking. LOL! But God said, this is bigger than what you’re asking me for. Turning this around the way you want will not accomplish what I want.

And just like that…I felt comforted.

I was in my prayer closet yesterday afternoon just crying out because I didn’t want to lose anything. I started running down the list of things that I felt like I had lost. I was like Lord, here is the list, just in case you needed it. LOL!! LOL!! LOL! The Lord was like, girl I already know and it’s okay. I am right here with you.

And just like that, I felt even more comfort.

This morning as I was praying in the Spirit, I felt stronger. That’s when I heard: Blessings in the Lessons.

Then Holy Spirit continued to the conversation with this:

  • I correct those I love. (See Hebrews 12:6 which says: The Lord corrects the people He loves and disciplines those He calls His own.)

  • I know it hurts to “lose” but remember I AM with you.

  • The hurt is temporary.

  • The loss is temporary.

  • Every season goes through a preparation. Fall before winter. Spring before summer. Each season comes with its own discomforts, regardless of your favorite season. But remember it’s just temporary.

  • Pruning hurts but you grow and blossom through it. (See John 15:2 AMP which says: Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [REPEATEDLY] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].

  • The refiner’s fire is hot, but you will come through it more pure and more refined.

  • Focus on Me, not the fire.

  • Praise me through the pain.

  • I told the enemy you would still praise me, even it hadn’t happen yet and even if it hurt you.

  • Be encouraged daughter and lean on Abba. I AM right here with you.

During my bible study time, I first flipped to Ezekiel and was reminded that we MUST REPENT and turn around from sin. That the only way to be saved is by getting a new heart. The only way to get a new heart is to repent, trust Jesus Christ, and receive a transformed heart through the work of the Holy Spirit.

I also flipped right to Psalms 23 where verse 4 comforted me:

Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid.
You are with me.
Your shepherd’s rod and staff
comfort me. — Psalms 23:4 NIRV

God calls us to walk through valleys at times in our lives, but He promises us His presence.

Yesterday as I was wailing to God to change things right then in my favor, He was showing me that even if He doesn’t change it, He is with me IN IT, and that’s an even better blessing in this lesson. Life is filled with ups and downs, but like I said yesterday in the blogcast, we serve a changeless God. He is a faithful Father. He never leaves us, no matter how hot the fire gets or how painful the pruning.

I want to encourage you today even as I encourage myself: I don’t know how…I don’t even know when…But I do know that GOD WILL! He will never ever ever leave us because He made that promise. Sometimes the lessons are to show us the greater blessings we have in our relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
