Everything is for His Glory

Lord, it’s not about me, it’s all about you. I am becoming so unselfish. How can I help YOU Lord?

Signed,

Your daughter Fon with a servant’s heart.

——

That’s how I surrendered this morning.

As I was praying in the Spirit this morning, I didn’t know what I saying because the Spirit was praying for me, but something happened where my mind thought about everything just being about God and not me. And that’s when I heard the Holy Spirit say: FOR ME; It’s for MY GLORY; It’s for generations after generations to give Me glory; your grandchildren; Generational Curse Breaker is being established.

I just felt this weight lift off of me. Even as I have been going to God in prayer daily, I was today years old when I had the revelation that all of this is really about God. It’s ain’t even about me. It ain’t even about you. It’s all about Him. I don’t even OWN me.

It’s like being a server at a restaurant. You don’t own the place. You’re there to serve (with a smile I might add). Everything we do is for the Kingdom of God. All the stuff we want from God really ain’t nothing compared to all He wants from us, but more importantly WHY He he wants it. We are His and He wants us back. We have to remind ourselves that we are in the world but not of the world.

As I shedded tears and released my selfish desires and wants from God, Matthew 6:33 just came out of my mouth. I said, “Lord, I know that if I seek you, everything else will come and you will see to it that it does. I don’t have to figure it out, work it out, or nothing. I just need to seek you, serve you, and obey you.

I flipped open by bible and landed in the book of Matthew, specifically chapter 15. Now this happened right after I stopped focusing on me. The Holy Spirit took me right to Matthew 15:28 where it talks about the woman who had great faith and the Lord gave her what she asked for. Dr. Evans study notes really resonated heavily when he said: we start off with faith, but then by persevering through a series of difficulties INTENDED BY GOD to take us deeper (that part), we end up with GREAT FAITH! That really blessed me!

I kept reading in that same chapter of Matthew 15 and saw where Jesus fed the 4000. Here’s what I wrote in my journal after I read that. Whatever you have, tell Jesus. Then do as He commands. He’ll take what you have, give thanks, break it, and give it back to you, multiplied with plenty of leftover. Everyone connected to you will be satisfied.

But what I noticed mostly is that Jesus had compassion. Did you know we serve a compassionate Father? Jesus has compassion for us! I have read this passage before but today I saw more of the character of Jesus than the miracle He performed. It says: Jesus called to his disciples and said, “I have compassion on the crowd because they’ve already stayed with me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, otherwise they might collapse on the way.”

Do y’all see that?

Jesus was compassionate about the people who were following Him. He fed them. Over 4000 people ate off of 7 loaves of bread a few small fish, and they even had leftovers.

When you following Jesus, He is going to make sure you EAT! He’s compassionate like that towards us. Psalms 145 8:9 also talks about how compassionate our Father is.

The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. Psalms 145:8-9 NLT

Isn’t that refreshing to hear?

As I thought about how compassionate our Lord is, it made me think about times where I was anxious in the past. You know what I’m talking about; worried about what to eat, how to pay for it, how I would do this or that. In my journal I wrote this down: If I am anxious about it, that’s not God and I must take my anxious thoughts captive and remind myself of Philippians 4:6 which says: Don’t be anxious about anything, but in every situation (READ THAT AGAIN…EVERY SITUATION), by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

See with anxiousness or even anxiety, the enemy is trying to get me ahead of God and out of alignment with God, because he knows that God’s timing is divine and it’s the best timing for His purpose to prevail. The enemy wants you worried. The enemy wants you to have anxiety attacks. But the word of God says, DON’T BE THAT WAY. The remedy is to Give thanks to God and then (after you give thanks to God) present your requests to Him.

Lately, God has revealed to me why I needed to wait on some things. God has exceeded my expectations on many of my fervent prayers and He wanted me to see, this is why I delayed that. This is why I sent you through that series of difficulties. This is why I said, not yet. When God reveals why He had you waiting, you become even more unselfish, and that too, is the very point. Everything is for His Glory!

The Holy Spirit told me the other day He was having to erase some things and establish some things. I can totally see the hand of God moving and doing exactly that. For where God is taking me, He had to establish my total dependence on Him and He had to erase that selfish residue that was trying to hang on. Why? Everything is for His Glory!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
