Not My Will

“He pulled away from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed, “Father, remove this cup from me. But please, not what I want. What do you want?” At once an angel from heaven was at his side, strengthening him. He prayed on all the harder. Sweat, wrung from him like drops of blood, poured off his face.” — ‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:41-44‬ ‭MSG‬‬

This morning as I worshipped, my heart posture was exactly the question in the message translation of Luke 22: 41-44, What do YOU want me to do today Father God? Where do YOU want me to serve today Father God? Where do YOU need me today Lord? I am available! I give my whole self to you Father, fully and freely!

The Holy Spirit answered me and said: Spread my love where you go today. Show ME in your actions. Do what I would do. <<<<<<<<—————— THAT PART!!

This morning, as I thanked the Lord for His example of how I am to live my life each day, I realized how important it is to not even focus on what I want at all, but to focus my all on what the Father wants of me.  There is a greater purpose for my presence on this earth and my posture is to be just like Jesus in the Garden of  Gethsemane (even in these trying times) to focus not on my wants, my plans, my agenda, or my schedule, or even my timing, but His time, His wants, His plans, His agenda, and His schedule.

Today may be we so encouraged to say with boldness: If it’s not in your will Father, don’t let it be in ours. Or another way, if God ain’t in it, ME EITHER!! If God didn’t assign it, I ain’t signing it! If God didn’t assign it, I ain’t ahh doing it!

What do YOU want from us today Father?

When we take time to listen for the answer, let us be ON ASSIGNMENT BY GOD. Let us DO THAT! Nothing else really matters! No for real, it really doesn’t.

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
