Receive It!

This morning I worshipped when my alarm went off. Every praise song that came out of my alarm was exactly what I needed, all the way to the point of when I got out of bed. The songstress was saying she was going to the throne room to bow. I got on up and went to do just that.

I prayed.

I listened.

I heard Holy Spirit say: Put your hands out and receive everything I have for you.

I wrote it down and then looked at my nightly prayers that I pray from the Prayers That Rout Demons book. I flipped the page backwards and there were the morning prayers. What stood out was Psalm 143:8:

I receive your lovingkindness every morning. — Psalm 143:8

Then I flipped the page back to the night prayers which said:

I receive your knowledge in the night. — Psalm 19:2

I receive your faithfulness every night. — Psalm 92:2

Then I just wrote down:

  • Lord, I receive your knowledge.

  • Lord, I receive your faithfulness.

  • Lord, I receive your healing.

  • Lord, I receive your guidance.

  • Lord, I receive your love.

As I sat there and prayed even more, I asked the Lord to help me to receive everything He has for me.

Then I Googled the words “receive and scripture” and quite a few scriptures came up, like Mark 11:24 which says whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

I saw many more scriptures, but there was one that mentioned hands. Of course I dug deeper on that one because I just heard Holy Spirit tell me to put my hands out to receive. This scripture in Psalms 143 captured the whole morning conversation with God:

I spread out my hands to you;
    I thirst for you like a parched land.

Answer me quickly, Lord;
    my spirit fails.
Do not hide your face from me
    or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
    for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
    for to you I entrust my life.
Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,
    for I hide myself in you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
    lead me on level ground.

11 For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life;
    in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
    destroy all my foes,
    for I am your servant. — Psalms 143:6-12

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
