Regardless…God’s Plan Prevails

Last night I went to bed in tears. I felt like I wanted to give up on something that I had been praying for. I talked to the Lord and asked Him to comfort me. I could feel my angst wanting to just do something dramatic about it. Like say something that I may later regret or have to apologize for. But I am thankful that I have matured enough spiritually to just have a conversation with God first before I have a conversation with any one else.

Holy Spirit comforted me.

Holy Spirit lulled me right on to sleep.

I woke up feeling much better.

Your anger lasts a little while, but your kindness lasts for a lifetime. At night we may cry, but when morning comes we will celebrate. — Psalms 30:5 CEV

That scripture right there is one you can meditate on. I always heard it said more like the King James Version: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. I kinda like how The Message translation says it too: The nights of crying your eyes out gives way to days of laughter.

And guess what? It’s morning! It’s time to celebrate, have joy and be laughing!!! I cried last night. That’s over with! Hallelujah!! P.S. Now that I think about it, I have always lived a Psalms 30:5 lifestyle and didn’t know it. I never let my cry go on too long. I would set a time limit on all pity parties and sadness. My friends would be amazed at how I would come out of sadness so quick. Now I realize that I was living out that scripture! Ha!

So this morning, when I got up and prayed, I heard Holy Spirit say: My plans will always prevail.

We may make a lot of plans, but the Lord will do what he has decided. — Proverbs 19:21 CEV

People may plan all kinds of things, but the Lord's will is going to be done. — Proverbs 19:21 Good News Translation

Last night I went to bed feeling tired of waiting. There was a give-up spirit that was trying to seep it’s way into my mind. That’s why I had to hurry up and start talking to Holy Spirit about it. I didn’t want that give-up spirit to find any kind of crack to take hold and plant itself.

We have to capture thoughts quick. Shut evil down fast! Don’t let it even linger for a second. Get that ‘agh agh agh’ in your mouth and call on Jesus immediately! Get that ‘nope not here’ in your mouth and call on Jesus immediately!

Holy Spirit was letting me know that regardless of what is going on in my life or what I see happening (or not happening), HIS PLAN WILL PREVAIL!

As Holy Spirit kept talking, He said these two words: willing vessel. Here are the scriptures He used to explain this part of our conversation.

20 In a large house some dishes are made of gold or silver, while others are made of wood or clay. Some of these are special, and others are not. 21 That’s also how it is with people. The ones who stop doing evil and make themselves pure will become special. Their lives will be holy and pleasing to their Master, and they will be able to do all kinds of good deeds. — 2 Timothy 2:20-21 CEV

20 Now in a large house there are not only vessels and objects of gold and silver, but also vessels and objects of wood and of earthenware, and some are for honorable (noble, good) use and some for dishonorable (ignoble, common). 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things [which are dishonorable—disobedient, sinful], he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. — 2 Timothy 2:20-21 AMP

Then Holy Spirit said: Don’t get tossed to and fro unnecessarily. Remember that you are anchored in Me!

I started singing: I put my faith in Jesus, my anchor to the ground. My hope and firm foundation, He’ll never let me down. Great is your faithfulness to me!

I read Psalm 23. Then I moved to Psalm 91:1. After that I landed in Psalm 89:33-35.

23 You, Lord, are my shepherd.
I will never be in need.
You let me rest in fields
    of green grass.
You lead me to streams
of peaceful water,
    and you refresh my life.

You are true to your name,
    and you lead me
    along the right paths.
I may walk through valleys
as dark as death,
    but I won’t be afraid.
You are with me,
    and your shepherd’s rod
    makes me feel safe.

You treat me to a feast,
    while my enemies watch.
You honor me as your guest,
    and you fill my cup
    until it overflows.
Your kindness and love
will always be with me
    each day of my life,
    and I will live forever
in your house, Lord. — Psalms 23

Whoever rests in the shadow of the Most High God
will be kept safe by the Mighty One. — Psalms 91:1

33 But I will not stop loving David (Fon)
I will always be faithful to him.
34 I will not break my covenant.
I will not go back on my word.
35 Once and for all, I have made a promise.
It is based on my holiness.
And I will not lie to David (Fon) — Psalms 89:33-35 NIRV

Just a Saturday morning reminder: Regardless of whatever…God’s plans will prevail. We can either be a willing vessel and participate in it or not, but that won’t stop it, whether you participate or not. As the scripture said, the Lord WILL DO what He has decided. And if He can’t use you, He will find someone else who is willing, ready, and able because regardless…His plan WILL BE DONE (with or without you).

Be encouraged to be in the will of the Father so He can do it WITH YOU.

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
