Winning in Weakness

Yesterday I got exposed.

No! Not in any sort of derogatory way, but in a way that God wanted me to see what’s possible kinda way. I can’t believe yall thought anything otherwise. LOL! Just kidding.

Has the Lord ever shown you something that absolutely blows your mind with regard to what’s even possible? Have you ever been somewhere to see how other people live and you were like wooooooow, this is possible? Or have you ever had an amazing experience that you never dreamed was even possible? Well we know with God, EVERYTHING is possible, and He wanted me to see what is possible when I follow Him and be obedient to Him. He showed me where people made massive earnings in moments! My mind was absolutely blown.

As I was praying this morning the scripture that starts off with, “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good…” came to my mind. I thought about samples. You know how you go to a restaurant or Sam’s Club and they give you samples so that you can taste and see for yourself that the chicken pot pie is good (at least when they make it in the store, it’s really really good. And that’s because you’re hungry). But anyway. The scripture is Psalm 34:8:

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—
how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. — Psalms 34:8 MSG

O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good;
How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him. — Psalms 34:8 AMP

Holy Spirit opened my eyes for me to see what is possible for my finances. He opened my eyes for me to see that I am a generational curse breaker when it comes to finances. And here’s what He told me that really had me writing feverishly in my journal!

Holy Spirit said: The very area where you thought you were deficient is the very area where you are most strong. The enemy wanted yo make you think you were deficient in an area where I have already said you would thrive. Seek me in every area of your life and I will tell you who you are.

Let me just tell yall something. Me and finances were always a battle. I mean in college my chest used to hurt when I even thought about bills, money, how I would do this or how I would do that. My parents used to say stuff like, that money burning your pockets huh. They said that because I couldn’t wait to spend my money. I didn’t plan nothing. I would spend on what I wanted and worry about responsibility later. I also didn’t think I was good with numbers. Why? Because in 2nd grade I made my first “F” grade in math on something I thought I knew. The enemy was seeding doubt and low self esteem right there in 2nd grade yall.

Holy Spirit said: The enemy attacks the area where he knows you are powerful. He doesn’t want you to discover your strengths, so he lies and says you are weak in the very area I said you are strong!!! Check your “weaknesses” and check your “deficiencies” because those are your most powerful areas. Where you seem weak, I make you strong. There is no deficiency because my grace is your sufficiency!!

Are you hollering with me!!!!!! Hallelujah!!!

7-10 Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me,

My grace is enough; it’s all you need.
My strength comes into its own in your weakness.

Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become. — 2 Corinthians 7-10 MSG

But he replied, “My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So if Christ keeps giving me his power, I will gladly brag about how weak I am. — 2 Corinthians 12:9 CEV

Holy Spirit said, let me give you a sample of what’s possible for you in an area where the enemy lied to you. He said taste and see that I am good! I have given you a sample, but now you got to hone in and learn it. You’re a quick study. I made you that way.

Yes that last part was personal for me regarding my learning more about investing and finances, but y’all, I am so excited! It’s like the person in charge of samples said, here, keep tasting it until you see how good it really is. Holy Spirit has allowed me to taste. Holy Spirit has allow me to see. Holy Spirit has been OH SO GOOD TO ME!

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
