The Blood of Jesus

“He has rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of his beloved Son. For in the Son all our sins are canceled and we have the release of redemption through his very blood.” — ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:13-14‬‬ TPT

This morning as I was praying, I wrote down: drenched and dripping in the blood of Jesus. I thought about this visual as us being redeemed through His blood, covered/protected by His blood, and cleansed from sins through His blood!

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. — 1 John 1:7

I also thought of this old church song … I know it was the blood. The song goes:

I know it was the blood,

I know it was the blood,

I know it was the blood for me.

Refrain:

One day when I was lost

He died upon the cross.

I know it was the blood for me.

And as I was typing that song, the Clark Sisters song Blessed and Highly Favored came to mind. Imagine me singing like the Clark Sisters: …if it wasn’t for the blood. Well, okay since you can’t imagine, just listen.

I am so grateful for the blood of Jesus! It cleansed me, saved me, and still protects me! Glory Hallelujah!

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
