The New Hide & Seek
Have you heard about this game called Hide & Seek? You’re probably thinking about the one you played as a child where you choose someone to count while the rest of your and your friends go hide. The object of that game is for the person counting to come and find you.
Well this morning in prayer, Holy Spirit and I had a conversation about a new hide & seek game. It started off with me hearing the words to a song (and I can’t remember who sings it), but the lyrics just say: I will hide your Word in my heart. As I said that, Holy Spirit prompted me to look that up. It was a scripture! Psalms 119:11 to be exact!
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. — Psalms 119:11 NIV
But I actually resonate more with the Living Bible translation:
I have thought much about your words and stored them in my heart so that they would hold me back from sin. — Psalms 119:11 TLB
The new game of Hide & Seek goes like this:
Hide God’s Word in your heart (Psalm 119:11)
Seek His Kingdom First (Matthew 6:33)
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. — Matthew 6:33 NLT
You got the new version, the best version of Hide & Seek! We should play this game daily knowing that we will always be winning and conquering victoriously!
And speaking of conquer, as I was letting a few wandering thoughts seep into my prayer time, Holy Spirit said: Every time your brain tries to go back to figuring things out, I want you to pause, pray, and remember that I have already worked it out. I have already conquered it!
Well I can stand on this knowing because I have hidden John 16:33 in my heart!
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] — John 16:33 AMPC
Hallelujah!
And finally Holy Spirt wanted to remind me and let me know…He is STILL doing a new thing! I love that He gave me this, what seems like a random reminder, because He knows me so very well. I needed to be encouraged by His Word today. He even showed me a new translation!

I love hearing the voice of God every morning!

SALVATION PRAYER
