Track Record!

Do you limit God with your thinking? Do you put limits on what God can do because of your lack of faith? Unbelief? Past experiences?

This morning during my prayer time, the Holy Spirit said to me: Look at MY track record!

I started thinking about His record and before I could get too far into my thinking, He said: Look at your track record WITH ME and Look at your track record WITHOUT ME!

Yesterday’s Numbers 23:19 NLT scripture immediately came back to my memory: God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human. so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

Meditating on this scripture is like checking God’s track record against mine (uhmmm yeah, not even close but worth doing it so that He can reveal something to you).

  • God doesn’t lie. I have lied.

  • God isn’t human. I am human.

  • God doesn’t change his mind. I change my mind all the time.

  • God speaks and it happens. When I speak, it may or may not happen.

  • God is a promise keeper. I have kept some promises but definitely not all.

When the Holy Spirit says, Look at His track record verses yours, it’s the exact encouragement you need to stop being INDEPENDENT and start being DEPENDENT.

The Holy Spirit also told me to trust Him and follow His instructions because He has everything under control. He said: “I GOT YOU!”

This morning I want you to look at your track record verses God’s track record. This will help you take the limits and restrictions off of God. This will help you lean and depend on God in every area of your life.

When I look back over my life and the decisions I have made, I am thankful that I serve a Romans 8:28 God who says, while your track record is iffy, I will use all the times you lied, all the times you changed your mind, all the times you went back on your promises, and all the times you let the human side of you rule. I will take your imperfect track record and cover it with my perfect track record. I GOT YOU!

So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose. Romans 8:28 TPT

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
