What Do You Want From God?

Lately I have been waking up much later than my usual. And things have been okay, but this morning, circumstances have caused me to rise much earlier.

Holy Spirit said to me: Sometimes I create circumstances for you to come to Me earlier because I know you need to come earlier.

As I spent time with Holy Spirit this morning, I heard these words:

  • Lifelong access

  • Accessible

  • I AM here.

  • Come Early

  • I AM accessible to you always.

As I opened my Bible to Luke 18, I noticed something. Jesus was accessible. In verses 35-42, it talks about a blind man receiving his sight from Jesus.

35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. 36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”

38 He called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?”

“Lord, I want to see,” he replied.

42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”

What stood out for me is that Jesus was accessible. When the man cried out, Jesus stopped. Then Jesus commanded that the man be brought to him. When the man got closer to Jesus (don’t miss that), Jesus asked him, what do you want me to do for you?

I believe Holy Spirit was showing me that I have lifelong access to Him and the closer I come to Him in the early morning, He can ask me what I want him to do for me. He is accessible. He is here. All I have to do is call out to Him. He will stop and see what I want.

The old folks used to say, Jesus is on the mainline, tell him what you want. His line is never busy, tell Him what you want. These verses in Luke 18 totally backs that song up and encourages me on this Saturday morning to know that Jesus is accessible and He wants me to come early to tell him what I want.

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
