Do Your Job

As I prayed this morning, I heard Holy Spirit say this: As you learn more about the enemy and his tactics, share them. Don’t wait on others to do it. You do it.

I knew that He was confirming an assignment that I believe I got a while ago. When I started learning about things I didn’t know about, like how yoga is demonic or how we make covenants and vows to organizations and what that really means, and all that kind of stuff, I knew then that I had a burden (a good godly burden) to let other people know too. I used to be a part of a sorority, but once I got knowledge about what I had done, I had to renounce it. See the thing is, once you get the knowledge, will you repent, renounce, and make the change, or will you stay bound and let the enemy tell you that it’s not that bad? It’s the subtlety of a door being opened to sin that you can’t even see that could have you living beneath your authority and your purpose.

Part of my reasoning for not sharing stuff is that I have used the excuse of: well let me make sure I understand it first. Have you ever said that? I realize that in and of itself is a tactic of the enemy that causes me to procrastinate and not share. Like I said in yesterday’s blogcast, the enemy does not want you to discover who you are in Christ. The enemy also doesn’t want to be exposed for his slick, subtle tactics. He wants you to be bound by your lack of knowledge.

Hosea 4:6 says in part: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

John 10:10 AMPC says: The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

When Holy Spirit said for me to share, I knew it was part of my assignment.

I grabbed my coffee this morning and sat at my desk to open my Bible and guess where I opened it to? If you guessed Matthew 24, then you win the prize! LOL! If you didn’t guess it, you still win because we never lose with Christ.

So I am reading the highlighted stuff on the page first right. But then Holy Spirit has me to look left. That’s where I see the verse that I was supposed to see. That’s where I see Matthew 24:46 CSB which says: Blessed is THAT servant who the master finds doing His job when He comes.

I want to be blessed and I know you do too, right? Right! So that means we will be blessed when God sees us doing the jobs He assigned for us to do on the earth. We often assign ourselves jobs and usually we are miserable when it’s not a God assigned job. I know I have been absolutely miserable in jobs. I would always show up for the check, but I wasn’t passionate about the work. When I strayed away from being a writer and a speaker, I was always out of alignment and stressed. Yeah the money was good, but was I on my job though? Was I doing what the Master wanted me to do?

Today, I want to encourage you as I encourage myself to BE ON ASSIGNMENT BY GOD, not by the money, not by the status, not by the fame, not by the stuff you can get, not any of that. Ask Holy Spirt to help you discover what He purposed you to do because He knew it when you were formed, what you were purposed to do. You were born for a purpose! Seek it by asking Holy Spirit what it is. Then recognize that the assignments you get are all centered around that purpose.

I am a sharer. This blogcast is all about me sharing my conversations with God to encourage you to have your own. Now, the Holy Spirit is saying let’s take it up a notch and share what I learn about the enemy. Why? Because when you’re On Assignment by God, the enemy doesn’t want you to be. So he will use everyday things and thoughts to throw you off track and keep you off of your assignment. But we will be delivered from the trappings that try to keep us bound. The enemy WILL BE EXPOSED! And once we learn better, we do better.

Here are a few resources that I believe will help you see the many ways from a spiritual perspective that the enemy tries to keep us bound. These two books not only expose the enemy but they also give you practical steps to be delivered! You don’t know what you don’t know. As I share these resources, know that you WILL NOW KNOW and you will not perish for lack of knowledge. Click the links and grab these books. They are supplements to the Bible, and definitely not a replacement.

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
