Elevating My Worship

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. — John 4:24

Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. — Psalm 95:6

Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.— James 3:10

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. —Colossians 3:16

At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” —Job 1:20-21

“Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.”— ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:8-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Since prayer is at the bottom of all this, what I want mostly is for men to pray—not shaking angry fists at enemies but raising holy hands to God. And I want women to get in there with the men in humility before God, not primping before a mirror or chasing the latest fashions but doing something beautiful for God and becoming beautiful doing it.” — ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:8-10‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Today I prayed but I mostly just worshipped!

I realize that my worship needs more surrendering. Did you know that God can speak through a worship leader?  That’s how He spoke to me today.

I listened to this worship song and Chandler Moore really gave a whole new perspective on it for me. I praise but my worship needs work (if I can be transparent).

Today during prayer, it wasn’t me looking for Holy Spirit to answer my prayer requests or even to speak on them, but He allowed me to see the area of worship in my life through that video. Now that song (Nothing Else) is one I have heard many times, but today it hit different.

As if Holy Spirit were the DJ himself, this song (https://youtu.be/bQB25aHUIGo ) came up next. It was worship at a conference with Chandler Moore (they even refer to him as the modern day David from the Bible, who was a true worshipper). I haven’t finished listening, but I definitely will.

I love how the Holy Spirit speaks to me, helps me, and guides me... even concerning how I worship HIM 😭😭😭 He knows that I want to learn better so I can do better.

Today I learned: Don’t rush through worship. It is just as necessary as prayer.

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
