Go Back to What I Said!

Y’all, I was singing this morning. I know you are probably like, but you sing every morning. Not like this. I kept having these words come out of my mouth in various keys (and nah, they probably aren’t chords you can record). But I kept saying, I believe. I still believe. I believe. I believe. I still believe. I believe. It was like I was letting the Lord know that I still believe Him, no matter what I see. I still have faith in what HE SAID!

Sometimes we look around and see things going in the opposite direction of what we prayed and fasted for, and it’s at these points where the enemy (satan) wants to make you doubt what you heard God say in a previous conversation. But I was singing this morning. I was singing and letting the Lord know that I believe HIM! I still have faith! I won’t be shaken by sight or sound that is contrary to His Word that I heard!

I started singing this song by Maverick Music called Promises. The lyrics that I was singing said: I put my faith in Jesus, my anchor to the ground! My hope and firm foundation, He’ll never let me down!!!

Hallelujah!! You got to worship your way out of hopelessness, depression, doubt, and negative situations.

My song changed to a old church song that used to be song when I was kid. It says: I shall not, I shall not be moved. I shall not, I shall not be moved just like a tree, that’s planted by the waters, ooohhh I shall not be moved.

Flipped in my Bible and read a bunch of Psalms today! I was kind of all over Psalms, but as I was flipping from chapter to chapter randomly, these hope words in my Bible stood out:

Faith is acting like something is so, even when it is not so, in order that it might be so simply because God said so!

Come on now! If that don’t make you shout or put a bounce in your step, let me read it again!!

I kept on worshipping to Maverick City Music. If you haven’t listened to their music, just head over to YouTube and grab you some of that music! You KNOW without a doubt that Holy Spirit be taking over every time they get into the studio!!

As I kept singing, the Holy Spirit said: GO BACK TO WHAT I SAID!

Go back to what I said can mean two things for me:

  1. Go read what He said in His Word.

  2. Go read what He said to me in my journal.

Either way, instead of looking at what I see, I am going to go back and SEE what God SAID!

It’s what He said that stands! It what He said that settles it!

Singing: Cause it He said it we believe it!!! Here’s that song!

And then right when I was looking for another scripture, the Holy Spirit showed me Jeremiah 17:7-8

“But I will bless anyone who trusts in me.
I will do good things for the person who depends on me.
They will be like a tree planted near water.
It sends out its roots beside a stream.
It is not afraid when heat comes.
    Its leaves are always green.
It does not worry when there is no rain.
    It always bears fruit.”

I shared this scripture with my prayer group and one of the young ladies who has an amazing voice and will often read scriptures we have posted, read this one. As I listened to her read it, I got the revelation that HEAT WILL COME, but just like a tree planted by the water, I am not to be afraid.

The Holy Spirit also showed me that our conversations are always connected. When you read verse 7, it says I will always do good things for the person who depends on me. Well guess what yesterday’s blog and podcast was titled TOTAL DEPENDENCE!

What is Holy Spirit saying to you in your daily conversations with Him?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
