God Carries Your Weight. You Carry His Word.

I did not want to get out of bed this morning! And guess what? I have a full day ahead of me with some new assignments! Is that cray or what? I should have been excited to pop out of bed, right? I should have not been able to sleep, right? Nope! That was not my morning. The alarm went off and I didn’t budge. Well, actually, I turned the music down some, but my feet didn’t hit the floor. And to be honest, today was not the day to be praying in bed. One of my new assignments has an appointment! So why was I over here acting like it was a Sunday?

All I could was just talk to the Lord about it, from my bed. I felt weak. I didn’t feel energized at all. What’s ironic is that I am super excited about all that is planned for the day, but my body wasn’t acting like it knew what was up because I shole wasn’t getting up.

I prayed in the bed…for a little while.

I sought my Father God first from the place where I was.

I want to encourage you that no matter how you feel, SEEK GOD FIRST from wherever you are. Tell Him you don’t feel like it today. Tell him you’re excited but your body isn’t responding to the excitement as you thought it would. Talk to Him about it.

Guess what?

Just like Jesus did on the 3rd day, I got up! But it was only the power of Jesus that got me up.

I prayed in the shower. I didn’t even have the energy though. At first I just let the water run. I prayed in the Spirit. If there was ever a time where I needed Holy Spirit interference, it was this morning! I couldn’t even understand it. But I quickly realized that I didn’t need to understand. I just needed to allow Holy Spirit to intercede on my behalf.

Have you ever had to intercede on someone’s behalf? Once you know that they need you, there is no need for them to plead with you. You just intercede. That’s what Holy Spirit did for me this morning.

All I heard Him say this morning in that shower was: I will carry the weight, you carry MY WORD!

I read Psalms 16 and 116 and it was a timely Word indeed. As a matter of fact, I carried His Word to a friend because it was indeed a timely Word for them today.

It was in Psalm 16 that I felt myself being strengthened for the day! The Lord will give us exactly what we need to proceed with His plans for our lives!

5 Lord, you are my portion
and my cup of blessing;
you hold my future.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me
in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

I will bless the Lord who counsels me—
even at night when my thoughts trouble me.
I always let the Lord guide me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad
and my whole being rejoices;
my body also rests securely.
10 For you will not abandon me to Sheol;
you will not allow your faithful one to see decay.
11 You reveal the path of life to me;
in your presence is abundant joy;
at your right hand are eternal pleasures.

Psalm 16:5-11 CSB

The title of Psalm 16 in my Bible is Confidence in the Lord…and that’s exactly what I have this morning as I proceed with this day He has blessed me with.

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
