It’s Not About Your Feelings, It’s About Your Faithfulness.

For whatever reason, I was still very sleepy this morning. You’re probably saying, but didn’t the Lord tell you to rest yesterday? And the answer would be, you read the blog and listened to the podcast, so you know the answer to that question. The real question is, was I obedient to his assignment. Yes I eventually was. It took me a while to just accept that I was to rest and not be doing anything. I even had a friend to remind me to be obedient! That’s a good friend, right? LOL!

This morning, I wasn’t feeling my well-rested self. I kind of laughed at myself for thinking that I could rest half of the day (verses the whole day) and wake up today feeling like I rested the whole day. Seriously Fon. LOL! I always ask the Lord to forgive me for missing the mark! I felt that today for real! I am grateful for awareness because it helps me become better.

Here’s the conversation me and the Holy Spirit had this morning:

  • Even when you do the minimum, I will do the maximum. I only need for you to show up and be willing to be used.

  • Be faithful through your feelings, you won’t always “feel like it” but show up anyway and be willing to be used.

  • I do my best work when you show up and don’t feel like it. It’s in your surrender that I am able to do more through you.

  • It’s not about your feelings, it’s about your faithfulness.

  • My character and reputation is about Me being FAITHFUL. Yes I’m compassionate, but I’m FAITHFUL.

As I listened to the Holy Spirit, I replied: I WILL be Faithful to the WILL OF GOD regardless of my feelings.

Dependence on the Lord

1 Lord, I appeal to you.
2 My God, I trust in you.
Do not let me be disgraced;
do not let my enemies gloat over me.
3 No one who waits for you
will be disgraced;
those who act treacherously without cause
will be disgraced.

Make your ways known to me, Lord;
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
I wait for you all day long.
Remember, Lord, your compassion
and your faithful love,
for they have existed from antiquity.[b]
Do not remember the sins of my youth
or my acts of rebellion;
in keeping with your faithful love, remember me
because of your goodness, Lord.

Psalm 25:1-7 CSB

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
