King of Glory

There is a reason why I put things in you. There is a reason why you are drawn to certain things. WATCH! I will use those very things FOR MY GLORY!

Even in reluctant obedience i will use your story to bring me glory. The reluctant moments will be the most impactful. Miracles will come from the reluctant moments.

~ What I Heard the Holy Spirit Say to Me

Let us not sugar coat this. Some of us (me included) have been reluctantly obedient. That means we weren’t all unenthusiastic about what we were having to do, but we still were being obedient though. Right? I was like Lord is this okay though to be reluctantly obedient? He said: Allow me to change your heart about it. I don’t want you to stay in that reluctant mindset. Allow me to show you things you don’t know. Just give me your heart in all things that I am asking you to do.

As I wrote this down, I was like, whoa, that is a miracle in itself! For the Lord to change my heart about something! For the Lord to change my mind! That’s miracle work! And He is saying that people will see His Power and His miracles, even through my reluctant moments because He will show them how He changed me, and that showing, will end up changing them. HE GETS THE GLORY! WOW!

God is so good y’all! WOW!

Singing: For Your Glory, I will do anything.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of glory will come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord of Armies, He is the King of glory. Psalm 24:8-10 CSB

After writing this down plus some other personal things that he spoke to me about my relationship, I turned to Psalm 10. What stood out in the study notes is this question of WHEN. We see in this Psalm where David was like why do you seem so far away Lord? David was like Lord, all this wicked stuff is happening, and you haven’t done anything. He was detailing the arrogance of the wicked. But in the study notes, Dr. Tony Evans said that while we all are asking WHEN will God take action, we can be assured through His character and past actions that He will bring justice at the right time. We just have to pray in faith. And even when we see nothing happening or changing, we can be assured that God doesn’t miss a thing and has set the specific time for when He will intervene.

When I asked the question of: When Lord? The Holy Spirit replied: At the right time…I will (fill in the blank).

Now y’all know I was reading Psalm 10 because today is February 10, but I turned to Psalm 100 as well. It was a Psalm of thanksgiving!!

A psalm of thanksgiving.

Let the whole earth shout triumphantly to the Lord!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Acknowledge that the Lord is God.
He made us, and we are his—
his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good, and his faithful love endures forever;
his faithfulness, through all generations. Psalm 100:1-5 CSB

In the Q&A section of my Bible, I learned that there is a Psalm for every circumstance that we face. Psalms covers EVERYTHING!

  • Losing Hope? Read Psalm 42

  • Need to praise God? Read Psalm 100

  • Need a reminder that God can meet all your needs? Read Psalm 23

I started testing this out, right! I landed right into Psalm 27 and it was like the perfect finishing touch of encouragement from my time with the Lord this morning.

I am CERTAIN that I will see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13 CSB

Today, I want to encourage you to BE CERTAIN that you WILL SEE the Lord’s goodness in the land that you are living in right now!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
