Let Us Sing & Praise the Lord!

Things may not happen WHEN you want, but they WILL happen.

That was the first thing I heard the Holy Spirit say to me while praying this morning. I wrote it down in my journal and I underlined two words: WHEN and WILL.

I kept praying and then turned my Bible to Psalm 13 (because today is February 13) and started smiling. I have mentioned before how I love that the Holy Spirit confirms that I am indeed hearing His voice.

In this Psalm, David starts off asking HOW LONG, but he ends up declaring I WILL. What I noticed is that HOW LONG is almost synonymous with WHEN isn’t it? There were the two words again: WHEN and WILL.

David shifts in verses 5-6 and stops asking how long and starts declaring what he WILL do.

But I have trusted in your faithful love; my heart WILL rejoice in your deliverance. I WILL sing to the Lord because he has treated me generously. Psalm 13:5-6 CSB

I got excited and said Hallelujah after I read this because it confirmed what I heard Holy Spirit say to me before I even opened my Bible. And I don’t know about you, but I love the confirmations. I don’t care how far along in this spiritual journey I get, I WILL always love the confirmations.

I flipped to Psalm 113 and it was the perfect Psalm to praise the Lord! It says, give praise…praise the name of the Lord….and let the name of the Lord be praised!

I love verse 3 because it represents an ongoing praise that we all should have. It says:

From the rising of the sun to its setting, let the name of the Lord be praised. Psalm 113:3 CSB

That means from the time we get up until the time we lie down, we should be praising the name of the Lord!

The rest of Psalm 113 reassures us that the Lord is transcendent, yet he is also intimately involved with his creation.

Hallelujah!!! Let us sing and praise the Lord all day!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
