Peace in the Process
I woke up a bit discouraged this morning. Yes I prayed. Yes I cried. Yes I prayed some more. I felt better, but then I didn’t. I prayed more. I worshipped more. But it felt like I was going backwards. At that moment, I thought about the scripture that says, peace that surpasses all understanding.
See I wasn’t understanding some things. I wasn’t understanding why some things in my life are where they are (often seemingly stagnant). I wasn’t understanding why what seems simple to me, isn’t for others. I wasn’t understanding why I find myself in these moments of discouragement when I am THE ENCOURAGER. I wasn’t understanding why the very things I desire just haven’t quite manifested yet.
I did a lot of talking in today’s conversation with Holy Sprit and I pretty much kept repeating myself over and over. I am so thankful that He doesn’t get annoyed when I repeat myself. But I kept praying for peace. I said Lord give me that peace in the scripture that says it surpasses all understanding. I want that kind of peace. The kind of peace where I don’t even understand this person, but I’m good. The kind of peace where I don’t understand this situation, but I’m good. The kind of peace where even though I get discouraged, I’m still good.
I want that peace that surpasses. What’s another word for surpass? I looked it up because I wanted to really dig into this kind of peace.
Surpasses: exceed; be greater than; be better than; do or be better than ever before, excel.
Yes! I wanted a peace that would exceed my understanding.
Guess what? I found the verse and this translation was perfect for me today:
Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel. — Philippians 4:7 CEV
Holy Spirit replied to me about not understanding the seemingly stagnant/no movement areas of my life. He said: You won’t always see movement but that doesn’t mean it’s not moving. Don’t consume yourself with seeking movement, consume yourself with SEEKING ME. I AM THE MOVEMENT!
Holy Spirit said:
I AM giving you peace on the way to the promise.
I AM giving you peace in every phase of the process.
I AM giving you peace as you progress even if you can’t physically see progression!
I flipped my bible open to Jeremiah and it wasn’t on a page that gave me peace so I kept flipping until I got peace…literally on the page.
Yet I will certainly bring health and healing to it and will indeed heal them. I will let them experience the abundance of true peace. — Jeremiah 33:6 CSB
This city will bear on my behalf a name of joy, praise, and glory before all the nations of the earth, who will hear of all the prosperity I will give them. They will tremble with awe because of all the good and all the peace I will bring about for them. — Jeremiah 33:9 CSB
First of all, you see that it says they will bear a name of joy, praise, and glory? Don’t miss that! Y’all know I say Fon Strong New Last Name. Well my new name is joy, praise, and glory! LOL! Then it says they will tremble with awe because of all the good and ALL THE PEACE I will bring about for them.
I prayed for peace this morning and I am in awe right now of the peace that I have about every situation and circumstance in my life! I don’t have to understand it. I have ALL THE PEACE brought to me straight from the Lord!

SALVATION PRAYER
