Relationship Conversation Starters

On this brisk morning, I found myself wrapped up in my blankets. When my prayer alarm went off, I started praying right there in the bed. It was cold yall, but I eventually got up and let my feet hit the floor and went to the prayer closet to pray some more.

See the Lord was waiting on me to get in a better position to hear Him. I can hear Him in the bed, but I don’t my pen and pad ready to write down what He said.

So when I got into the prayer closet, the secret place… I began to praise the name of the Lord even more. I said: Oh magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt His name together.

Exalt!

Exalt!

What does exalt mean again? I kept praying and grabbed my phone to look it up because I kept hearing the word over and over. I actually kept saying it over and over.

Exalt means to glorify, praise, revere, worship, reverence, magnify.

Now I knew what I had said was a scripture somewhere in the Bible so I looked it up too. It’s Psalm 34:3. But for the first time on this scripture, I glanced at all the translations. The Message translation resonated heavily!

Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out. — Psalm 34:3 MSG

I circled “word” in that scripture. That made me thinking about John 1:1. Let’s the the word out. Well according to John 1:1, the Word was God! So if we are getting the WORD out, then we are going out to talk about God!

Before the world began, there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. — John 1:1 ICB

I also looked at the Passion Translation and the International Children’s Bible translations:

Join me, everyone! Let’s praise the Lord together. Let’s make him famous! Let’s make his name glorious to all. — Psalm 34:3 TPT

Tell the greatness of the Lord with me. Let us praise his name together. — Psalm 34:3 ICB

That’s when I discerned the voice of God saying: Partnership Talk. This is how your potential spouse should talk. This is how your spouse should talk. This is how your kids should talk. This is how you start the conversation.

The Lord was showing me how relationship conversations should start and how they should always be. Our conversations with others should be to tell the greatness of the Lord and praise his name together!

P.S. I just love my relationship conversations with the Lord…don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
