Shine Light in Darkness

As I was in prayer this morning, I saw a vision of a dark hole, but there was light shining in the hole. The light was beaming very high into the dark hole. But it was as if the light was coming from the dark whole and illuminating out of it. That’s when I discerned the voice of God saying to me:

  • Light shining in darkness

  • Continue to shine light on darkness

  • Be the light.

  • You are My light

I went looking for scripture! And Holy Spirit took me to Ephesians 5.

Light versus Darkness

Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for God’s wrath is coming on the disobedient because of these things. Therefore, do not become their partners. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light— for the fruit of the light consists of all goodness, righteousness, and truth— 10 testing what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to mention what is done by them in secret. 13 Everything exposed by the light is made visible, — Ephesians 5:6-13 CSB

After reading this scripture, it was verse 8 that really stood out. And I love how the Passion Translation reads:

Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light!  — Ephesians 5:8 TPT

Let us shine our light in dark places today and everyday!

P.S. I just love having conversations with the Lord that will help me shine bright for Him! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
