Victory in a Loss?

There is something about praying in the shower! I get so much revelation in that space! What about you? Have you ever just prayed and had a conversation with Holy Spirit in your shower? I was thinking that I need to get a waterproof wall marker to write down stuff He says to me in there.

Today Holy Spirit gave me clarity on this very blogcast! He said: Your assignment is to encourage listeners and readers to the start the conversation with me, as you share our conversations with them.

I was like, ohhh that’s good! I need to write that down! LOL! That’s when I had the idea to find me one of those shower markers. Being in the shower having a conversation with the Lord is like water cooler talk at the office. LOL! I don’t know why I thought about that, but y’all know at some offices, the water cooler or more like the coffee Keurig is the spot for people to have conversations at work. LOL!

So what else did we (Holy Spirit and I) talk about today? He talked to me via His Word! LOL! You get it. He used His Word to talk to me. You ever told your child or someone to use their words? LOL!

Holy Spirit used the introduction to the book of Nahum to speak to me. He said: Your sins didn’t and won’t cancel out My promises, because you repented and returned to Me.

Then I heard the word victorious. Holy Spirit said: You will always be victorious with Me. I have never lost! Don’t look at loss or anything that seems lost the same again. Remember you are victorious in Me.

Every child of God can defeat the world, and our faith is what gives us this victory. —1 John 5:4 CEV

This is what the Lord says: Though they are strong and numerous, they will still be mowed down, and he will pass away. Though I have punished you, I will punish you no longer. — Nahum 1:12 CSB

Elisha said, “Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them.” 2 Kings 6:16 CSB

As I was led to these different scriptures which served as more words to cling to regarding what could seem like a loss, Holy Spirit was simply showing me that no matter if it looks like a loss, we are still victorious in Him.

I started thinking about losses and how we always seem defeated before the victory. And you wanna know what I thought about? I said, the Lord be making a whole fool out of the devil.

In one of Dr. Tony Evans real life application stories in my Bible, he said that even on the devil’s best day, he is still a puppet on a string in the hands of God. The devil can’t do nothing, unless God allows. And sometimes God does allow it, just so that God can get the glory every single time!

When you go to war against your enemy and see horses and chariots and soldiers far outnumbering you, do not recoil in fear of them; God, your God, who brought you up out of Egypt is with you. When the battle is about to begin, let the priest come forward and speak to the troops. He’ll say, “Attention, Israel. In a few minutes you’re going to do battle with your enemies. Don’t waver in resolve. Don’t fear. Don’t hesitate. Don’t panic. God, your God, is right there with you, fighting with you against your enemies, fighting to win.” — Deuteronomy 20:1-4 MSG

The Lord your God is going with you. He will fight for you against your enemies and give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4 God’s Word Translation (GW)

So how can we have victory in a perceived loss? When we have Jesus Christ. He has never lost a battle and He never will.

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
