When You Prioritize God, You Please Him

This was my conversation with the Holy Spirit this morning:

Holy Spirit: I knew you would please Me. I always knew. I chased you down because I knew you would seek to please Me. And you do. You please Me. Look at you! Look at how much you have transformed! I am really proud of you and how you seek Me.

Me (in tears): I just want to please you Lord.

Holy Spirit: YOU DO! And I knew you would. You being who I made you to be, pleases me greatly.

That was our conversation this morning. Of course I was in tears and full of so much joy! I almost had a moment where I felt like I needed to do more, but the Holy Spirit was letting me and that spirit of perfection that was trying to rise up, that I DO INDEED please Him.

When I opened my Bible, I landed in Haggai. And wouldn’t you know it, the first sentence I read in Haggai 2:20 said: The word of the Lord came to Haggai a second time o the twenty-fourth day of the month.

Do you know today is the 24th day of the month!!!! That just blew my mind! As I was reading through this 2 chapter, there were quite a few gems found in the study notes. One being this line: God will apply heat to your situation just long long enough to straight our thinking. He wants to look good in you when you represent Him. I also learned that obedience is necessary for worship to be accepted! Yup, you can’t be out here worshipping on Sunday and disobedient Monday thru Friday. Nope, your worship is not be accepted.

But in this chapter, we learn of Haggai reminding the people that the economic disaster that came upon them was because of their disobedience. In earlier verses it talked about God shaking things up to intentionally interrupt the natural order of things. Reminds me of the pandemic. But it says those who shifted their priority and obeyed God would end up being blessed instead of cursed. In Haggai 2:19, it says, But from this day on I will bless you.

See when we shift our priorities and start focusing on obedience, God will turn what would have been a curse, to a blessing.

The Holy Spirit told me this at the end of our conversation: When you prioritize Me, you please Me!

—I just love my conversations with God!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
