Worship the Lord

Worship!

That’s how I woke up this morning. Before I even swung my legs to the edge of my bed, I had a worship song in my spirit. The song is entitled: More Than Anything. It’s has been sung by various artists. But I was the artist today. Painting a picture to the Lord with my voice.

I sang: I love you Jesus! I worship and adore you. Just want to tell you, Lord I love YOU, more than anything!

I prayed but I mostly was singing this morning!

I discerned the voice of the the Lord saying to me: I receive your worship and your adoration!

Y’all, just hearing that from the Lord had me smiling wide. I just want to please the Lord. You know what I’m saying? I just want the Lord to be pleased with me.

Singing: I love you Jesus! I worship and adore you. Just want to tell you, Lord I love YOU, more than anything!

We love Him, because He first loved us. — 1 John 4:19 AMP

I thought about worship. Who or what are we worshiping? Is it people? Is it careers? Is it money? Is it organizations? And speaking of organizations, the Lord was showing me even more how Greek letter organizations have nothing to do with Him! The organization that I renounced and denounced had us singing songs about our first love being THE ORGANIZATION!! YIKES!

When I searched the word Worship in scripture, check out what I found:

And Jesus answered him, “It is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.” — Luke 4:8 CSB

Fear the Lord your God, worship him, and take your oaths in his name. — Deuteronomy 6:13 CSB

You are to fear the Lord your God and worship Him. Remain faithful to Him and take oaths in His name. — Deuteronomy 10:20 CSB

Do yall see that? We are to take oaths in HIS NAME! IN JESUS NAME! Lord I pray right now that the scales will fall off of our eyes so that we can see how Satan is deceiving so many people under the auspices of being founded on Christian principles.

Can you say EXPOSED!! The Word of God is the truth and we see how Jesus defeated Satan with scripture in Luke 4:8, where He referenced the verses in Deuteronomy!

Repent! Renounce! Denounce! You know who you are!

Back to worship!

Here is one other scripture that really helped me to understand worship even more! I want to share 4 translations of John 4:23 (of course some of these translations include verses 22-24), but yall check it out!

From now on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with a right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.” — John 4:23 TPT

Jesus: Woman, I tell you that neither is so. Believe this: a new day is coming—in fact, it’s already here—when the importance will not be placed on the time and place of worship but on the truthful hearts of worshipers. You worship what you don’t know while we worship what we do know, for God’s salvation is coming through the Jews. The Father is spirit, and He is seeking followers whose worship is sourced in truth and deeply spiritual as well. Regardless of whether you are in Jerusalem or on this mountain, if you do not seek the Father, then you do not worship. — John 4:23 VOICE

Jesus replied, “The time is coming, ma’am, when we will no longer be concerned about whether to worship the Father here or in Jerusalem. For it’s not where we worship that counts, but how we worship—is our worship spiritual and real? Do we have the Holy Spirit’s help? For God is Spirit, and we must have his help to worship as we should. The Father wants this kind of worship from us. But you Samaritans know so little about him, worshiping blindly, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes to the world through the Jews.” — John 4:22-24 TLB

“Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this mountain nor there in Jerusalem. You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day. God’s way of salvation is made available through the Jews. But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.” — John 4:22-24 MSG

The Lord longs to have sincere worshipers who adore Him. Worship the Lord today!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
