As He Said, So Shall He Do: Trusting the Set Time of YAH
Genesis 21 and 22 lit me up in prayer this morning.
What struck me first was Genesis 21:1:
“And YAH visited Sarah as He had said, and YAH did unto Sarah as He had spoken.”
This verse hit different. The Spirit whispered:
"Whatever I said is what I will do. You can be assured of it. Let this be a reminder, even if you once laughed in unbelief like Sarah. I haven’t forgotten what I spoke. Even though time has passed, I’m still flipping the page. And just like Genesis 21 opens with My fulfillment, so shall the next chapter of your life open the same way—with Me doing exactly what I said I would do."
Let that settle deep in your spirit.
Then I saw Genesis 21:2, and this stood out:
“For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which YAH had spoken.”
📌 The set time. Not our time. Not rush-hour faith. Not microwave miracles.
The SET time.
And when that time arrives—what YAH said will manifest, just like He spoke it.
Then I flipped to Genesis 22, and whew…YAH took me deeper.
Verse 1 says:
“And it came to pass after these things, that Elohim did tempt (test) Abraham…”
Testing comes after the promise. After Isaac is born. After joy is restored.
YAH still checks if our hearts are loyal.
And in verse 8, this jumped off the page:
“And Abraham said, My son, Elohim will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering…”
Did you catch that?
📌 Not just provide a lamb—but provide Himself a lamb.
A foreshadowing of the Lamb of YAH, YAHAWASHI HAMASHIACH.
But also—a principle of faith. Abraham spoke what he believed and kept walking.
And because of that obedience, when Abraham raised the knife in verse 10,
“...the angel of YAH called unto him out of heaven...”
Right before the sacrifice—YAH showed up.
Because Abraham proved he feared YAH.
Journaling Prompt:
In what ways have I shown YAH that I fear Him?
What have I been willing to lay on the altar?
Am I still holding on to something He’s asked me to give up?
Closing Encouragement:
Your next chapter starts with fulfillment—just like Sarah’s did.
YAH will do what He said and spoken.
He’s testing your faith, stretching your trust, but provision is on the way.
Keep walking. Keep believing.
**And prepare the altar.**🔥
