Be Unashamed!

It’s a brand new week. It’s a brand new day. We received a fresh anointing this morning. We received grace this morning (and we know that God’s grace is sufficient), so we should not be running on fumes or deficiencies this morning! Amen!

As I prayed this morning, I heard the Holy Spirit say unashamed. I repented for anytime I had been shame. Too shame to speak up. To shame to represent God.

If you’re ashamed of who I am and what I teach, then the Son of Man will be ashamed of you when He comes in all His glory, the glory of the Father, and the glory of the holy messengers. — Luke 9:26 The Voice

Some of you know that God has me on a prayer assignment, where I pray in the Spirit every 3 hours, at the 33 minute mark, for 3 minutes. So at 6:33 am, 9:33 am, 12:33 pm, 3:33 pm, 6:33 pm and 9:33 pm. That means no matter where I am or who I am with, I am praying. It’s non negotiable. I pause whatever I am doing and I pray.

Well one time last week my prayer alarm went off and I started praying but I was sitting in the salon chair. I starting praying to myself, but I didn’t tell my friend and hairstylist, to halt the conversation because I was praying. Why? I don’t even know. I prayed but then I would stop praying to reply if she said something during that time. It bothered me enough to repent. I thought about that this morning when I heard Holy Spirit say: Unashamed

Now the good news is that, that’s only happened once. Any other time, I remove myself from whatever I am doing or I just pray right then and there. But I certainly thought about that one time, this morning as I replied to the Lord: I will be unashamed to praise your holy name!

Synonyms for Unashamed: Shameless, bold, blatant, unapologetic. So if we put those words into what I said to the Lord this morning, that means we will be bold, blatant, and unapologetic in our praise to God, in our prayers to God, and in our worship to God.

Then the song, You Know My Name, came in my spirit. I didn’t start singing it out loud, but I kept thinking He knows my name. As I thought it, Holy Spirit said: Call on My Name in everything.

Over the last several days, I have certainly called on His name with tears in my eyes. I have had some disappointments and the old me used to bottle up my tears and forge ahead, regardless. But the Lord has allowed me to NOT be able to pull myself up. I have had to allow Him to pull me up. I am thankful that He won’t let me fall. And I am thankful that He won’t let me keep thinking that I can pull myself up by my own boot straps. When you are On Assignment by God, the enemy is coming and those old tactics that you used to use just don’t cut it. Praise God that He is teaching me how to depend on Him for everything. So He reminded me this morning to call on His name in EVERY THING!

Then I heard the words: Undivided Attention. The Lord said, when your attention is divided, start praying in the Spirit.

See, all those prayer times above have been training me to pray at any time. I mean 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says we are to pray without ceasing. That means non stop and persistent in prayer. So when the enemy comes to try and divide our attention from the things of God, we are to immediately pray in the Spirit.

Be encouraged today to be bold, unapologetic, unashamed, and persistent in your prayer life.

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
