Filter
During my prayer time this morning, I felt this strong weight to pray for all of us who depend solely on someone else to hear from God. I prayed for those who only use church attendance as the only way to hear a word from the Lord.
Y’all know this entire blogcast is all about my conversations with God. Back in March 2019, Holy Spirit told me to share these conversations. I didn’t understand why at all. I was like, these are our conversations Lord. Why I got to be sharing it? LOL! But the more I share, the more I hear from those who are establishing a closer relationship with the Lord through their own conversations. I am in a constant state of awe at how the Lord uses our conversations as encouragement for others to talk to Him for themselves.
So I interceded and prayed for all of us this morning to seek the Lord for ourselves. As I was praying I heard the word: Filter.
As soon I wrote it down, Holy Spirit said:
Use MY WORD to filter everything you hear.
Check the source.
I AM the Source.
I AM the Truth.
Before you say or repeat anything, check the source. Where did it come from?
You will know it came from Me when you talk to Me about it and use My Word as a filter.
Study My Word for yourself.
Don’t just depend on what you hear others say.
Don’t just accept things as-is.
Don’t just automatically accept it.
Let’s talk about it. All of it.
Dearly loved friends, don’t always believe everything you hear just because someone says it is a message from God: test it first to see if it really is. For there are many false teachers around — 1 John 4:1 TLB
Often times I may hear something and it just won’t settle in my spirit after I hear it. I immediately start talking to Holy Spirit about it. Why? 1 John 4:4 is why. John 14:6 is why.
Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind]. - 1 John 4:4 AMP
Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me.To know me is to know my Father too. — John 14:6 TPT
There are a lot of voices out here. And if you’re reading or listening to this blogcast (OABG) I am one of the voices. But as the scripture says in 1 John 4:1, you want to test to see if what you hear is actually from God. That’s why I always like to back up what I hear with scripture. Clearly my conversation with Holy Spirit this morning says for me to filter everything I hear through His Word. Don’t just believe it automatically because of who it came from.
I encourage you always…have your own conversation with Holy Spirit and see what He says to you in your conversation with Him. The more time we spend with Him, the more we recognize His voice. The more we are fully surrendered to Him, the more we can hear His voice clearly. The more obedient we are to do what He says do, the more we can hear Him.
Remember the scripture above (1 John 4:4) which says: greater is He who is IN YOU, than he that is in the world. As you allow Holy Spirit to takeover every area of your life, He will definitely tell you what’s up with everything you hear.

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!

Filter everything you hear through the Word of God.
Record yourself reading the Word of God on video or audio and watch how God will use your own voice to give you revelation and build your faith (keeping this assignment on here for a while).
