Only God
Have you ever had an experience where you said, “Only God.” Let me share with yall the results of a conversation me and Holy Spirit had.
On Tuesday, I had to take my father to a colonoscopy appointment. Everything went very well, just as we prayed. Clean bill of health. Of course I had to drive my father home and make sure he was set up good (i.e. make sure he had food to eat).
My kids and I stayed there for a while with him and then we decided to head home. On our way home, there was an accident or stalled bus or something. I was too far back to tell what actually was happening but it caused traffic to be delayed.
Having lived in Houston, TX for 17 years, my first mind is to avoid the traffic and go another route. So that’s exactly what I did. I ended up turning on a street to cut around the accident. Because of this, the Lord showed me a group of people at this bus stop. Some looked homeless and some looked like they were waiting on the bus. As I passed them on my way re-route, all I did was notice them.
Fast forward to the next day and the Lord put them on my heart again, when I asked Him in our conversation who He wanted me to give to. Now when He showed me them again, the first thought was, go back over that way (it’s on the other side of town), but then I was like…why did I even think that. Yeah go back over there! Duh!
So my kids and I made the little hand-written encouragement cards I make when I give and we headed to the spot. I was a bit nervous. What if the people weren’t there. The Lord had impressed upon me to do 10 cards and the first amount of money I thought to give was too low. The Lord prompted me to give more. So I obeyed.
We head over there. My heart is beating fast. I prayed, Lord let me be your hands and your feet on the earth. I immediately felt myself be calm.
I get to the spot and I almost just did a drive by where I was going to hand it out from my vehicle, but I felt so strongly to put my truck in park and get out.
Y’all as soon as I got out, one of the men standing there said: “God bless you! Are you the lady who gives out the money?”
I was stunned!!! I mean so stunned that I said, “uhhh, yeah, wait, huh, it’s a lady?” I mean I was stammering with my words because I was in such awe of what was taking place right before my very eyes.
The man said: “Yeah I just told my buddy that it’s a lady that comes over here and gives out money and when you pulled up, I said I whole hope that’s that lady with the money.”
Y’all! I am getting emotional all over again just telling yall the story.
I answered the man: “God told me to come over here and bless yall today.”
The man said: “So you are the lady with the money.”
But y’all, I didn’t know the lady he was even talking about. He said he thought her truck was darker than mine. But in that moment, I was who God wanted me to be and I was exactly where God wanted me to be.
I handed out the cards to all the people. Guess how many people were there? 9 people!! I had 10 cards. Y’all!
The man and several others thanked me. But the main guy was the most outspoken one of them all. As I got back in the truck, I knew I was about to cry. I could feel it all in my throat. My kids had been a witness to this whole move of God because that’s exactly what that was!!
As I drove off, one of the men on the very end smiled this huge smile and waved! He had this aura about him like he was an angel saying, “good job Fon.” Even my son noticed the man and was amazed at his smile!
I was crying like a big baby! I was like, ONLY GOD could orchestrate all of that! ONLY GOD could do that!
Notice I said that there was a re-route the day before. God knew exactly where He wanted me to go and give, but He had to show it to me first so that He could bring it back to my remembrance when I asked Him where to?
Remember all the blogcasts from earlier in the week where He spoke to me about divine timing and divine orchestration?
I share this testimony because having conversations with God will put you right where He wants you to be, but also I share it so that you can see that God cares about you, just like He cares about those people who were standing and sitting at that bus stop, which by the way is behind a Walmart and you would not know it was there unless you knew it was there! You can’t even see it from the parking lot of the Walmart. I never knew it was even there!!!! But God did.
God knows exactly where you are even if others can’t see it. He will send the right people at the right time to bless you! That man said, “Are you the lady with the money?” See that man was in expectancy of God to bless him! Right when I got out, he said God bless you! I knew it was ONLY GOD! The man said it! Then he said he had JUST told his buddy sitting next to him that he hopes the lady with the money come through. Hallelujah!
I wasn’t late being obedient. I wasn’t questioning if it was the right place to go. I listened and obeyed when God said do more than that amount!!!
ONLY GOD!!
ONLY GOD!!

Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.”
I was cupbearer to the king. — Nehemiah 1:11 NIV
The Lord told me yesterday that He is attentive to everything that concerns me. When I asked the Lord who to give to, He reminded me of the reroute and the people that I saw.
God sees you!
God cares about you!
God will send “the lady with the money” or whomever you are looking for to bless you!
We are the hands and feet of Jesus on the earth. ONLY GOD could navigate and order our steps so that we can be a blessing to those He cares so much about.
