Yet = Still

Tears streamed down my face in prayer this morning as I thought about all the prayers the Lord has answered. It was like a VHS tape was slowing playing in my mind with scene after scene containing all the ways the Lord has answered my prayers. I just kept crying. My God is faithful!

Then I had the thought: Lord you shole said that would happen and it did. You told me I would write my way to the bank and it’s been happening. You said you would pay my bills and you been paying them IN ADVANCE! Glory Hallelujah!

Through my praise and my tears, I discerned the voice of God saying: You can rely on My Word. I am not a man that I would lie.

I knew that was HIS WORD that He was quoting right to me. I went looking for it. Found it right in Numbers 23:19:

God isn’t a man that he would lie, or a human being that he would change his mind. Has he ever spoken and not done it, or promised and not fulfilled it? — Numbers 23:19 CEB

Then I heard the Lord continue on by saying: You may not see it yet, but it’s coming. Just like what you DO see came, what I promised is STILL coming! For the things you haven’t seen YET:

  • Praise as you wait on the promise.

  • Persevere as you wait on the promise.

  • Present My Word to others as you wait.

  • Posture in prayer as you wait on the promise.

When I looked up the word YET, I saw that it also means STILL. I thought about the scripture in Psalms 46:10 which says:

“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 46:10

The Lord was letting me know that yes you have seen some prayers manifested, but there are YET STILL some that are coming!!! Glory Hallelujah! And while I am being still and recognizing and understanding that HE IS GOD (and that He doesn’t lie), I can praise, persevere, pray, and present HIM (to others)! Glory Hallelujah!!

P.S. I just love my conversations with the Lord! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
